Information, not treatment
Yum helps you cook and eat well. It does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease, and nothing on Yum replaces advice from a doctor, a registered dietitian or another qualified professional.
Nutrition statements on Yum follow the EU rules on nutrition and health claims (Regulation (EC) No 1924/2006): they describe what a serving contains, never that a food heals.
Calories and nutrition
Calories and nutrients are estimates calculated from ingredient weights using standard food composition tables. Real values change with brands, ingredient sizes and how you cook. Reference intakes are for an average adult (2,000 kcal a day).
The calorie calculator uses the Mifflin–St Jeor equation, a common estimate for healthy adults. It is not accurate for everyone.
When to ask a professional first
Talk to a doctor or registered dietitian before changing how you eat if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, under 18, over 65 with health problems, have diabetes, kidney, liver or heart disease, take medication affected by food (for example warfarin), have food allergies, or have or had an eating disorder.
If you have symptoms after eating, such as difficulty breathing or swelling, call 112 immediately.
